The Good and The Beautiful History (we have a lot of history that we use and love) ![]() The Good and The Beautiful High School Level 1 Good and The Beautiful Level K and Level 1 If you would love an idea of what else we’re using from The Good and The Beautiful here’s the run down. If you are curious what’s in the other bins or what I am using with my other children this year I’ll be sharing more soon. I also have a tray on the table full of different pencils and colored pencils, if you are interested in what that looks like click here. You can check out the arts and craft cart here. If you are wondering why I don’t store any art supplies, scissors, pencils in the bins it’s because we have all of that in a cart right next to our table. The Math Box sits on our bookcase separately as well as a few other things we use for homeschooling together (History, Books, arts and crafts). Other things we are using and we keep organized in our bin for Kindergarten is The Good and The Beautiful Math books, an alphabet sheet, I can doodle rhymes (because my daughter loves rhyming and art), A sketchbook, Crayons, Handwriting Level 2, and of course her Language Arts curriculum. If you are familiar with the blog, then you know we do a lot of hands-on activities, so we go through the curriculum a little slower in the early grades to make time for being young and having fun. Since she started in the Spring, I knew we would be moving on to Level K right after Christmas. The Good and The Beautiful Language Artsīells is 1/2 way through Primer K, and it’s going great. A box for collecting tickets, and phonetic reading blocks. I also keep playdough (usually we make our own, but as a special treat she wanted to pick a few fun colors out). We prefer to switch out materials periodically to keep things exciting, so for the past couple of months we’ve been using natural materials like polished rocks and small seashells. In the top, we have a container of manipulatives. This is what my daughters’ bin looks like right now. Everything goes back in the bin when we are done homeschooling for the day, and it stays organized. For the younger two, I usually take their bins to the table in the sunroom for us to work together. With the bins, my kids can grab their bin and take it to wherever they feel comfortable doing their work. My opinion is to do what works for your family. We are a few months into this year, and the bins are working out wonderfully. Now, I am homeschooling 4, and we needed a better organization system. They always needed to be cleaned out and reorganized and to tell you the truth I didn’t like looking at messy baskets. ![]() As my boys have gotten older, I noticed the baskets starting to get messy. We had one for each child, but at the time I only needed two baskets for my older boys. If you are familiar with The Good and The Beautiful Facebook Community, then you have probably heard talk about “ THE BINS.”įor the past two years, we used wire baskets. Homeschool Organizationĭon’t we all love to see how other people organize? I know I do. Now that we’ve been using it for a while and we are in a great homeschool rhythm I figured it was a perfect time. So I wanted to come back to anyone that is interested in homeschooling or learning more about homeschool curriculum to share more. Last year I started sharing about The Good and The Beautiful and how much we loved it. I’ve shared homeschool curriculum, our homeschool room, what our daily homeschool schedule looks like and anything else that goes into creating a love for learning.Įven though most of us have started our school year, I wanted to share what we are using (The Good and The Beautiful Curriculum) and how we organize everything. Throughout the years I’ve been blogging I’ve always shared about our homeschooling. If you are interested in The Good and The Beautiful, you’re in the right place. ![]()
